1981 MGB GT LE – SOLD

1981 MGB GT LE

This is not just an ordinary MGB … it’s one of the last Limited Edition GTs made, and has been upgraded with Stage II Ivor Searle engine complete with HS6 1.75” carburettors, parabolic springs, Spax dampers to front and rear, electronic ignition, full stainless steel sports exhaust, and fitted with quality Avon tyres all round.  The result is a great driving car with bags of power and really good handling – but that’s not all – the bodywork is in excellent condition with good paintwork, well fitting panels and good structure.  According to the large file of paperwork, the car was extensively restored between 2006 and 2009, and at some stage, has obviously had a full, professional (and very well done) paint re-spray in its original Pewter Grey.  The interior, which now has leather sports seats, is in fine condition, including carpets, headlining, door cards and dashboard.  As you can see, it is fitted with a Moto Lita style steering wheel and the original LE-type wheels have been retained – from the outside, the car looks to be totally standard.  Comes with MOT to April 2025, original handbook, workshop manual, and V5C.  All ready to go!

We are always pleased to consider part-exchange especially for good MGs, or for othe interesting classics, and we can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

1980 MGB Roadster with Overdrive – SOLD

1980 MGB Roadster with Overdrive

This is an excellent, late, low-mileage example of the MGB Roadster, well finished in its original colour and with original specification interior.  The car has been very well maintained throughout its life and has covered only 53,000 miles.  In recent years, it has had a refresh, including new sills and complete new repaint, and at some stage, a brand new hood has been fitted which is very user-friendly.  The structure and underside are in very good order, and we believe that the car was Waxoyled from new.  The interior is very smart, with good door cards, carpets, original seating, carpeted boot and the dashboard is in excellent condition.  Even the bumpers are in excellent condition.  The car looks very well, sitting on its Minilite-style alloy wheels, complete with four matching Continental tyres, and drives very well indeed, starting easily with good oil pressure and no overheating.  Performance is extremely good, with good gear change, overdrive, and quiet back axle.  All in all then, a very good car, which we are sure will offer plenty of enjoyment this summer.  Comes with tonneau cover, jack, wheel hammer, file of paperwork, Heritage Certificate, V5C, and MOT to 28th April 2025.

1972 MGB GT with Overdrive – SOLD

1972 MGB GT with Overdrive

This first class MGB GT was first registered on 11 April 1972 and has been owned by the same family since 2002.  Shortly after purchase, the car was completely restored, including the fitting of a brand new Heritage shell which is still like new.  The restoration period was around 5 years, and a fine job was made.  Since that time, the car has not travelled many miles, but has been well maintained including a recent full service and MOT.  It is in lovely condition inside and out (pretty much like new) with spot-on paint finish in Primrose Yellow and black interior, including leather seats.  The interior is further enhanced by walnut dashboard, door cappings, gear knob and quality Webasto-type sunroof.  Being a Heritage shell, the panels all fit very well, there are no corrosion issues whatsoever, and as you can see from the photographs, the car is still in its Primrose Yellow underneath.  Driving this car is a great experience, with bags of power, nice gearbox, overdrive, rebuilt suspension and engine.  Wire wheels with four matching, hardly worn Goodyear tyres and stainless steel exhaust.  A truly superb and very attractive motor car.  MOT to May 2025, V5C.

1950 MG YA – SOLD

1950 MG YA

A very good example of this ever-popular sports saloon, well finished in Almond Green with beige interior.  This is an excellent four-seater family car that would be a pleasure to own.  The large history file shows that this car was originally restored in 1991-95, including an extensive body rebuild, and it has been well maintained since that time.  This has included the fitting of a new clutch in 2002 and an  extensive mechanical overhaul in 2020, which included a complete new exhaust.  Then in 2022 a comprehensive engine rebuild was completed, together with a general service.  The result of all this work is that the car is in excellent condition and is very enjoyable to drive, with good performance, good brakes which have a servo fitted, and good transmission.  The car is nice and quiet with light steering and lovely gearbox.  The paintwork is very good indeed, the chrome work, renewed in 1999 is good, as are the interior and working sunroof.  The underside is very clean and the Blockley tyres are in good fettle.  Tools include starting handle and Jackall jacking system handle.  Paperwork includes many photos dating back to 1991, history of work carried out, lots of old MOT certificates and workshop manual.

1979 MG Midget 1500 – SOLD

1979 MG Midget 1500

We are very pleased to be able to offer for sale this excellent MG Midget, very well presented in British Racing Green, with beige interior.  This is a 1979 car, and as you can see, it has been very well converted from rubber to chrome bumpers, with the addition of Minilite-type alloy wheels.  The conversion and renovation of the bodywork, including full re-paint, was completed around 2010 and the car has been very well maintained ever since, the current owner having had the car since 2014.  The paperwork in the file shows that it has covered only 54,000 miles from new, with a good long-term MOT history.  Now MOTd to 17th May 2025.  The bodywork, which has been very well painted, is in very good condition, as is the underside of the car and the interior trim – excellent seats, carpets, door cards and dashboard.  There is a vinyl hood, hood cover and full tonneau, all in good working order.  This is a lovely car to drive, with plenty of performance from the 1500cc twin SU engine and a nice 4-speed gearbox.  Good brakes, clutch, oil pressure, tyres, exhaust battery – in fact just ready to jump in and drive away.  Lots of fun for little money – we don’t think you’ll find better for the price.  Comes with V5C, old V5, old MOTs, original Passport to Service and driver’s handbook.
