First registered on 1^st December 1971, this superb MGB is in excellent condition throughout, well finished in Tartan Red with original specification black interior, and complete with original steering wheel.  The car has the benefit of chrome wire wheels in pretty much as-new condition including the spinners, which are fitted with good, hardly worn Kumho tyres all round.  The car has a well-functioning overdrive on third and top gear.  Restored, apparently in 1989 (we find this difficult to believe, though, because of the first-class condition) with new Heritage body shell, wheels upholstery, canvas hood, hood cover and full tonneau, and full overhaul of the mechanics.  The underside is excellent and  mainly in body colour.  It would appear that the inner sills have all been treated.  The car starts well, and runs very well in indeed, with good performance and handling.  Good oil pressure, and no overheating.  The car has always been professionally maintained, and recently, the well-skilled, current owner has fitted a new steering rack and rebuilt the front suspension, so all is in tip-top order.  Service records come with the car along with V5C and handbook, and the car will come with new MOT.  If you are looking for a factory spec. car, not messed about with and in absolutely superb condition, then look no further.

A very well-priced MGB Roadster, first registered in March 1967.  This car has been in the same ownership since 2012 and is nicely presented in Tartan Red, with black part-leather interior and black vinyl hood.  The car was partly restored a number of years ago including a full re-spray, and the mechanics were upgraded to a later tuned 18v MGB engine with 5-speed gearbox.  The engine improvements include fast road camshaft and polished cylinder head ports, all resulting in bags of power.  The 5-speed gearbox works well – a trusted improvement.  The running gear includes banjo rear axle, MGB GT wheels (slightly wider than Roadster wheels), and being of the disc type, these are very rare.  We are told the car has uprated springs and telescopic shock absorbers at the rear.  Now running on one 12v battery.  The upholstery has a nice ‘patina’ with full harness seat belts fitted together with sports steering wheel.  The hood is easily put up and is in very, very good condition.  The boot area is in good, tidy order as is the under-bonnet area – although a little extra cleaning under the bonnet would improve it.  Solid underside and good exhaust.  The engine starts easily and runs with good oil pressure.  A Kenlowe cooling fan has been fitted. You will certainly have some fun in this car!  MOT to August 2025, and classed as an historic vehicle so no tax to pay.

This is a really splendid example in superb condition throughout, resplendent in its Flame Red livery with black, part-leather interior.  The car has been the subject of an extensive restoration in recent years, including full body rebuild, complete repaint, new interior and new Webasto sunroof, and it has subsequently been meticulously maintained by the current owner.  All panels, including doors fit very well.  At the time of restoration, we understand that the speedometer was refurbished and the odometer reset at zero.  The car now shows just over 28,000 miles.  A later engine, which had covered only 13,000 miles was fitted complete with overdrive at the time of restoration.  The underside is in very good condition indeed, as is the boot/spare wheel compartment and the under bonnet area is nicely detailed.  The wheels have been professionally refurbished and as you can see, are fitted with chrome embellishers, all in first class order.  Four matching tyres, good battery, good exhaust, all serviced up and ready to go.  The car starts easily and drives very well, with nice gearbox, recent clutch, quiet back axle, smooth overdrive and plenty of power with good brakes and suspension, enhanced by SPAX shockers on the rear.  Good oil pressure and no overheating.  This must be one of the best available in this price range.  A very detailed history file comes with the car, including Heritage Certificate, old MOTs, workshop manual, and detailing work carried out, previous owners, old MOTs etc.   V5C and current MOT to October 2025.

We are very pleased to offer for sale this absolutely outstanding example of this highly desirable, high performance MG, resplendent in British Racing Green.  In fact, we would go on to say that this is probably one of the very best on the market, but at a very sensible price.  The car is UK-registered from new – not a Japanese import, and comes with an extremely well-documented and interesting history, showing only six owners from new (including the current owner) and only 31,000 miles on the clock, with plenty of paperwork to support this.  The original owner, as you can see from the paperwork photograph, was the well-known actor Robert Lindsay, who owned the car from new in 1993, for 11 years.  The next owner spent a fortune on the vehicle, detailing and improving the already fine condition.  The entire car was gone over, including any paint finish issues, any mechanical faults and the interior was replaced with a much higher quality leather (Stone Beige), which is still exceptionally good today.  The car is currently in fabulous condition throughout, including its black double duck hood.  The underside is just as you would like it to be, as is the engine bay.  The boot is properly carpeted.  The original wheels are, of course, good and fitted with matching Michelin tyres on all four corners.  These are very powerful cars which offer terrific performance from the 3.9 V8 engine – which produces approximately 190 bhp, 0-60 mph in around 6 seconds, and a top speed of 135 mph.  This car drives superbly with good handling, nice smooth gearbox, excellent brakes with ventilated front discs and nice big fat tyres!  There is a mountain of paperwork including a comprehensive file of servicing from new, MOT certificates, current MOT to 13^th June 2025, original factory RV8 brochure, and ‘Manufacturing Story’ which includes the ‘written celebrity customer endorsement’ from Robert Lindsay, handbook and other RV8 literature.
