1973 MGB Roadster with Overdrive – SOLD

1973 MGB Roadster with Overdrive

This very nice and original specification MGB roadster is in good condition throughout, having been well cared for and properly maintained.  Looking through the good file of paperwork, it would appear that the car was extensively rebuilt in the late 1980s including body, engine, etc, with further work carried out during its life.  It is in its original colour of Teal Blue, and the paintwork is generally good although there are some minor blemishes.  The bodywork structure is excellent, showing no signs of rust, the sills, wings, jacking points and castle sections are all good, as are the spring hangers and floors.  The interior of the car is also in its original colour of Ochre, is in good order, and has recently had the door cards replaced.  The under bonnet area is excellent, as is the boot area and the underside, as you can see from the photographs.  The wire wheels are powder coated and in good condition, as are the tyres.  The car starts easily and performs very well, with good gearbox, brakes and overdrive.  The engine is strong, with good oil pressure and the car drives very nicely indeed.  The hood is fairly new – we don’t think it has been used much – and it fits well.  The car will come with an MOT to January 2024.

We are always looking to purchase good MGs or other interesting classics, and are pleased to consider part-exchange.  We can offer economic delivery to most parts of mainland Britain.

We also sell cars on a commission basis – no sale, no charge.

1977 MGB GT with Overdrive – SOLD

1977 MGB GT with Overdrive

An absolutely superb example, first registered on 1st August 1977, and with only 85,000 miles, this MGB GT is one not to be missed.

We are pleased to offer it for sale once again, having sold it some three years ago to a customer with exacting standards.  It has therefore been extremely well maintained and is for sale only because of lack of time to use and enjoy the car regularly, as it deserves.

This car was extensively rebuilt between 2008 to 2010, including all necessary body repairs and a full respray.  The mechanics were also rebuilt, including the engine.  The interior was retrimmed, including leather seat covers.  There is a good history file detailing work carried out.

The paintwork is very good indeed, with excellent finish and just a small minor blemish.  The interior is like new, including headlining.  Underneath, the car is extremely clean and tidy and not caked up with underseal.  The under-bonnet area is like new.

It starts immediately and drives very well indeed with excellent performance, enhanced by a few little tweaks under the bonnet, including  K & N filters and electronic ignition.  The oil pressure is as it should be, there is no overheating and the engine ticks over very smoothly.  On driving, we find the car to be very smooth, with good gearbox and overdrive, good brakes and nice, tight suspension, having just been re-polybushed.

The Pirelli tyres are in good condition all round, as are the ‘Minilite’ type wheels.

All in all, an excellent car with good paperwork and will come with new MOT.

1972 MGB GT -SOLD

MGB GT 1971

Good, reasonably priced MGB GTs are becoming increasingly difficult to find, but this one fits the bill very nicely.  It is in exceptionally sound condition, having been restored at some stage in the past, including new sills, and front wings we think.  The castle sections are excellent, good jacking points and spring hangers.  The bodywork has had a full respray in its original Glacier White and is very nice indeed. The interior has been refurbished and is all in very good order.  The car benefits from chrome wire wheels, with four recent, matching tyres.  The sports exhaust is stainless steel and sounds terrific.  The car starts easily and performs very well indeed – no strange noises, good steering, nice light suspension, good oil pressure etc.  Comes with file containing some service history and V5C.  An excellent car at an attractive price.

1995 MGF 1.8 – SOLD

MGF 1.8 1995

A tidy little MGF, just MOTd and ready for some summer motoring, or indeed, everyday use.  These cars offer great value for money, and the early MGFs such as this one, are becoming quite sought after.  The paintwork has a few age-related blemishes, but is generally pretty good, and the interior is similar.  It starts easily and runs well, good 1.8 non-VVC engine, so nice and simple with 5-speed gearbox.  Great for top-down motoring – you can put the hood up or down in around 15 seconds.  An excellent sports car for not a lot of money.  Comes with file of old MOTs, driver’s handbook, V5C.

2011 MG TF 135 1.8 Manual – SOLD

2011 MG TF 135 1.8 Manual

Superb, late example of the very popular TF, first registered on 31st March 2011 and having had only three owners from new.  The car has covered only 57,000 miles and has been very well maintained.

The bodywork is in excellent condition with good paint finish and no ‘dings’ or dents.

Its striking interior is like new, with lovely leather seats.

In addition to the hard top that it is sporting on the photographs, and that can be removed very easily, there is a canvas hood (again, erected very quickly) also in good condition.

Service history shows that a full service – including cam belt and water pump replacement – was carried out at both 39,000 and 56,000 miles, so all is up to date.

The underside is very good, and clean and tidy and there are four matching tyres in good condition, as are the wheels.

This car starts easily and gives good performance with its 135 bhp N Series engine, so none of those head gasket problems.  It handles well and the transmission is nice and quiet.

All in all, a fine example of probably the best model, and comes complete with two sets of keys, original service book and manual, plus MOT to May 2024.
